Dr. Michael Carey is Chairperson and Associate Professor of Organizational Leadership in the School of Leadership Studies at Gonzaga University. In 2000, he created the first servant-leadership course at Gonzaga and currently he is the Coordinator of the Servant-Leader Concentration, which is composed of four elective courses on servant-leadership topics in the Organizational Leadership graduate curriculum. An educator for over forty years, Dr. Carey has taught at the primary, secondary, and higher education levels, and has served in a variety of administrative posts, including Dean of the Virtual Campus, which oversaw the development of online learning at Gonzaga University.

Dr. Kathleen Patterson is with the School of Business & Leadership at Regent University, where she has been since 1999, and currently serves as a Professor and the Director of the Doctorate of Strategic Leadership Program. She is noted as an expert on servant-leadership, and has published and spoken on the subject on every continent except Antarctica. She coordinates an annual Servant-Leadership Research Roundtable in Virginia Beach, where, each year both scholars and practitioners meet together to engage in servant-leadership discourse. She also has co-coordinated three Global Servant-Leadership Roundtables, in the Netherlands, Australia, and Iceland. Dr. Patterson is involved in numerous consulting projects locally, nationally and abroad. Additionally, she is sits on several boards including the Larry C. Spears Center, Millennials for Marriage, and CareNet.

Larry C. Spears is President & CEO of the Spears Center for Servant-Leadership, Inc. (Indianapolis). Larry is also Servant-Leadership Scholar at Gonzaga University (Spokane), where he teaches graduate courses in servant-leadership. He serves as Senior Advisory Editor of The International Journal of Servant-Leadership, founded in 2005. From 1990-2007 Larry served as President & CEO with the Greenleaf Center. Spears is the co-editor of five books of Robert Greenleaf’s writings: On Becoming a Servant-Leader, Seeker and Servant, The Power of Servant-Leadership, Servant-Leadership: The 25th Anniversary Edition, and The Servant-Leader Within, and the co-editor of a series of six servant-leadership anthologies.
